Applications

The Caged Shadow shin guards were developed for kickboxing, Muay Thai, K-1 and MMA training. They are excellently suited for:

• Punching bag and pad work
• Technical training and combination drills
• Light to moderately intense sparring
• Conditioning and kicking intervals
• Regular club training

The anatomical design and stable padding make these shin guards a reliable partner for offensive as well as defensive work, from kicking pads to blocking incoming low kicks.

Material and Construction

The outer layer is made from high-quality synthetic leather with a matte black finish – a choice that ensures a sleek and professional look that doesn't wear quickly or become shiny. The stable padding on the front absorbs impact effectively and offers protection for both the shin and instep. The anatomical design ensures that the guards follow the natural curve of your leg, which improves wearing comfort and stability.

Closure and Fit

The hook-and-loop fastening with buckle combines the best of both worlds: quick and easy attachment thanks to the hook-and-loop fastening, plus additional stability through the buckle, which prevents the protection from shifting during intensive combinations. This keeps the shin guard reliably in place, even during explosive kicks and clinch work. The adjustable system allows you to tailor the fit precisely to your calf circumference.

Lightweight Design

Although the shin guards offer solid protection, the overall weight remains low thanks to thoughtful material selection. This allows you to move freely and dynamically, without the protection slowing you down – an important advantage during fast combinations and agile footwork.

Size Recommendation

The Caged Shadow shin guards are available in four sizes. Use the following table as a guideline based on your height and weight:

• Small - approx. 1.55 - 1.68 m / 50 - 65 kg
• Medium - approx. 1.68 - 1.78 m / 65 - 80 kg
• Large - approx. 1.78 - 1.88 m / 80 - 95 kg
• X-Large - approx. 1.88 m and taller / 95+ kg

Are you between two sizes and have muscular calves? Then choose the larger option for extra comfort and freedom of movement.

For Whom?

These shin guards are suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners looking for an affordable, reliable shin guard for their regular training. Ideal for kickboxers and Muay Thai athletes who are starting more intensive training and want to invest in good protection, as well as for recreational athletes attending kickboxing fitness classes. For very intensive sparring or competition preparation, we recommend a professional sparring model with heavier padding.

Care

Wipe the shin guards after every training session with a slightly damp cloth to remove sweat and dust. Allow them to air dry, away from direct sunlight, and store them in a well-ventilated space to prevent odour formation and bacterial growth. Avoid machine washing to keep the synthetic leather and construction intact.
